What's Happening:
--- Tuesday 29th of September 2009 ---
Exciting things have happened at IBI over the past few months. Carraig Eden Theological College, which trained students mainly for the Assemblies of God in Ireland, decided to close and we have now incorporated their students and two of their staff into IBI. This is great for the college and more generally for promoting good interdenominational relationships among Christians in Ireland. It means that we are filled beyond existing capacity and have had to rearrange all teachings schedules to accommodate such numbers. On the other hand fees for the 09/10 academic year will cover approximately 50% of our budget for the first time (up from 37% in 07/08). Please pray that the Lord will richly bless the integration of both staff and students. We all enjoyed a wonderful celebration last Sunday at our graduation ceremony. Please pray that the Lord will bless each graduate as he uses them in their different ministry positions in their churches.

The Irish Bible Institute is committed to excellence in biblical education and leadership training for the church in Ireland. The Irish Bible Institute offers courses in Applied Theology at all levels, from a Certificate right through to a BA and MA. Being evangelical and non-denominational, IBI has students and teachers from many church backgrounds and every corner of the island. IBI exists to contribute to making a practical difference in the everyday life of the church in Ireland, the aim being that each student will make a difference both in their local Christian community and the wider church. IBI strives to equip men and women who have a deepened passion for God and a compassion for people; who not only know, but are willing to wrestle with how best to apply and communicate God’s Word in Ireland today and who have a Christ-like desire to serve others sacrificially.

Jacob will be visiting Christ Church Nashville on March 8th and 9th to speak about the work of IBI in Ireland.
